For more than two decades, Dreiling Field Service & Towing has been built one honest job at a time — first on a Kansas farm, now on East 10th Street in Hays.

Built one job at a time.
Dreiling Field Service was established in 2004 by owner John Dreiling. In the early years, he worked out of a shop he built on his farm South of Antonino, Kansas.
In 2008, he formed a Limited Liability Company. As the business expanded, John decided moving it to Hays would be best — it would give customers easier access. He rented space in the North part of town, and in 2011, purchased land and facilities at its current location, 1715 E. 10th St.
At present, the DFS staff includes four full-time mechanics — each with a unique skill set — a tire shop manager, parts manager and a secretary/bookkeeper.

As the customer base grows, John forms Dreiling Field Service & Towing as a Limited Liability Company.

Move to Hays
To make the shop easier for customers to reach, the operation relocates north of Hays into rented space.

A lifetime under the hood.
John Dreiling grew up on a farm in Ellis County, Kansas, and developed a talent for auto mechanics at an early age. After graduating from high school, he attended the local vocational technical college and graduated from the auto mechanics program.
He spent the next few years working in mechanic shops, honing his skills and continuing his education through workshops and short courses. John and the mechanics hold certifications in various areas of the industry.
